The mobile network / wireless part of the agenda — the part of the event I am most involved in — will cover timely, commercially relevant and forward-looking technology topics.

Day 0 Pre-Conference: ATIS 6G Workshop

This will be the third year that ATIS and the Next G Alliance have partnered with the event (formerly known as the Big 5G Event) to run a dedicated pre-conference 6G workshop. As usual, this year's agenda is packed with high power, big brain wireless technology speakers.

David Young from ATIS / Next G Alliance will give the opening keynote, followed by operator keynotes from the inestimable Brain Daly of AT&T and Vodafone's Muslim Elkotob.

I will chair the workshop. Analysts Joe Madden from Mobile Experts and Ruth Brown from Heavy Reading will moderate panels with speakers from Fraunhofer FOKUS, ITRI, MITRE Labs, Nokia, NTIA and UScellular.

Day 1 Main Conference: 5G Performance

Michael ("Mike") Thelander, president and founder of Signal Research Group, will chair the Day 1 wireless evolution track.

Operators and guest speakers include AT&T, MITRE Labs, Paradise Mobile, Verizon and Vodafone. They'll be joined by track sponsors Cisco, Ericsson, Fortinet, Fujitsu, NETSCOUT and RADCOM.

My analyst colleagues Joe Hoffman from Omdia and Ruth Brown will moderate.

I'll be in the audience for Day 1, staying busy by taking notes, asking questions, chatting at the coffee break, etc.

Day 2 Main Conference: RAN Evolution

On Day 2, I will chair the wireless evolution track, starting with an update on the RAN market and the path to cloud native open RAN.

Ravindra Jarral, vice president of Network Development at DISH, and Bernard Bureau, vice president of Wireless Strategy & Services at Telus, will give operator keynotes. The track sponsor is AMD.

Eugina Jordan of the Telecom Infra Project will lead the panel session on Open RAN for 5G Standalone, which will feature guest speakers from the Department of Defense, Ericsson North America, Fujitsu, NTIA and Red Hat.

The rest of the track will dig into private and venue networks. My Omdia colleague Pablo Tomasi will chair and give an analyst address on "One hundred years of private 5G."

Art Maria from AT&T will keynote the session and join Fraunhofer FOKUS and Galtronics on the panel.
