OnApp CDN Grows

LONDON -- OnApp has announced that its federated CDN platform for service providers, OnApp CDN, has grown to 60 global locations in just six months and is now more than twice the size of Amazon CloudFront. OnApp CDN was launched to existing OnApp customers in Q4 2011. It is now available to providers around the world, who can get started at http://onapp.com/cdn.

OnApp CDN enables any service provider to build an instant global CDN without investing millions in their own global infrastructure, or having to resell traditional third party CDNs at wafer-thin margins. It achieves this by connecting cloud providers in a federated global marketplace, where each provider can buy and sell CDN bandwidth on demand. The marketplace allows service providers to sell their spare capacity and expand their cloud services instantly through CDN PoPs (Points of Presence) across the U.S., Europe and Asia-Pacific.
