SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Procera® Networks, Inc. (OTCBB: PRNW), a pioneering developer of intelligent network traffic and service management infrastructure equipment, today announced the newest PacketLogic hardware platforms, the PL7620-C and the PL7650. The new platforms are primarily considered for installation between the core network of a large broadband ISP and the Internet, i.e. the peering and transit connections, where PacketLogic optimizes the utilization of bandwidth, throttles over-consuming applications, identifies and mitigates security threats, especially from the outside, and prioritizes critical applications.

"Our customers implement 10 Gigabit Ethernet in the network where they run PacketLogic, which drives the need for a powerful hardware platform like PL7650," said Gary J. Johnson, Senior Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Procera Networks. "The same capacity need that we saw at national incumbents one or two years ago is today a reality at the runner-up broadband ISPs with a Triple Play offering that relies on quality. The best indication of this demand is that we already have a number of customers lined-up to evaluate the PL7650 in live installations."

The PL7620-C is a four port, i.e. dual-channel PacketLogic system, with T-Base Gigabit Ethernet (GE) copper interfaces. The PL7650 is the new flagship hardware platform for PacketLogic with two 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces.

"PacketLogic has been the high-end option for traffic management since the launch in 2001," said Alexander Haväng, CTO of Procera Networks. "We squeeze a lot of intelligence into PacketLogic, and I'm proud that we can keep up with the increasing capacity demand without compromising our unparalleled accuracy, functionality and deep flow inspection capabilities in every product evolution we release."
