BROOMFIELD, Colo. -- The Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE: LVLT) content delivery network (CDN) has been selected by Russian game developer Nival to improve the experience of its role-playing and strategy games, including Prime World and Blitzkrieg, as the company expands globally.

Nival currently has thirty million people playing its games worldwide. In order to target gamers in North America and Europe in 2014, Nival needed a global and secure CDN that would support the resulting anticipated growth in data volumes, while still providing an optimal online gaming experience. That need brought them to Level 3, whose CDN allows gamers all over the world to access Nival's content from the server nearby to them, thereby reducing download times.

"Level 3 has a solid and reliable reputation, which we trust to support our increasing number of players," said Sergey Orlovskiy, Founder and CEO of Nival. "In fact, since using Level 3's CDN, we have seen a significant improvement in feedback regarding queue and load times from players around the world. Not only does Level 3's CDN improve our technical capabilities, but also it enhances our reputation as we continue to build our player base for Prime World and future games."
